Ariana Esfahani, M.S.

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

Hello! I’m Ariana, a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology and a student therapist working under the supervision of Dr. Meghan Goulet, Psy.D. (PSY33727). I am extremely passionate about working with women struggling with ADHD, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship work, and major life challenges, such as the transition to motherhood.

As your therapist, I value your comfort and trust. Therapy is supposed to be your safe space. Whether you’re navigating complex perinatal-related concerns, identity and self-esteem challenges, relationship, family, parenting difficulties, trauma, grief, or life stress, I will be there with you. Our work together will involve self-exploration, learning new skills to interrupt old patterns, and helping you process challenges to improve your emotional well-being.

I take a holistic approach to care, considering all the important aspects of who you are and guiding you down a path that feels carved for you. The evidence-based skills we learn together may focus on understanding how your brain works, regulating your nervous system (e.g., meditation, breathwork, mindfulness, coping skills), and giving you space to connect with yourself. Modalities I typically utilize include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

I am currently completing my PhD at Palo Alto University, where I have trained in settings including the Kaiser Permanente Child and Adult Psychiatry Departments and the University of San Francisco Neurology Department. I have worked with women navigating a diverse range of concerns related to pregnancy, parenting, and family-building, including postpartum adjustment, divorce, parenting, trauma, and breaking generational cycles.

Outside of work, I spend time at home with my two cats (Cheeky and Monkey), who are my beloved companions. I am Persian and can speak Farsi. In my free time, I enjoy dancing, eating food, spending time with family, and being out in nature. I am incredibly grateful to be part of the Palmetto team, and I hope you enjoy your therapeutic experience with us!
